Reynolds Shines a Light on ‘Green Lantern’

Green Lantern is the name of several fictional characters, superheroes appearing in comic books published by DC Comics from 1940.

Green Lantern is also an upcoming superhero film based on the comic book starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, a test pilot for the United States Air Force who becomes a Green Lantern and the first earth-man ever inducted into the Green Lantern Corps. The movie is scheduled for release in 2011.

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. Natalie Portman plays Jane Foster, a young woman who befriends Thor on Earth.

Disney Teen Star Takes on ‘Den Brother’ Role

Hutch Dano is a young American actor, known for his role as Zeke in “Zeke & Luther”. He also plays the role of Henry Huggins in the 2010 movie “Ramona and Beezus” and plays the role of Alex Pearson in the 2010 Disney Channel Original Movie “Den Brother”.

In the “Den Brother” TV movie, Alex Pearson (Hutch Dano) is a High School hockey player who is seeking the most attractive girl in school. All he wants is a car, but his father refuses to buy him one until his ‘attitude’ improves, but after showing off at one his games he gets suspended from the team for it. In order to get the car, he has to do chores and is forced to babysit his little sister and agrees to be the “den brother” of her Bumble Bee (Girl Guide) troop.

The Henry Huggins role is based on a character appearing in a series of children’s literature novels by Beverly Cleary. Cleary then launched a new series of books about one of the supporting characters, Ramona Quimby. The Ramona series ultimately surpassed the Henry Huggins series in popularity. Henry Huggins appears in the Ramona series as a supporting character.

Now “Ramona and Beezus” is an American film adaptation of the popular children’s book series by Beverly Cleary.

It follows the misadventures of young third grader Ramona Quimby (Joey King) who has a vivid imagination, boundless energy, and accident-prone antics that keeps everyone she meets on their toes. But her irrepressible sense of fun, adventure and mischief come in handy when she puts her mind to helping save her family’s home before it’s way too late.

The other members of the family consist of older sister Beezus (aka Beatrice) Quimby (Selena Gomez), father Robert Quimby (John Corbett), mother Dorothy Quimby (Bridget Moynahan) and Henry Huggins (Hutch Dano).


Hutch Dano, teen star of ‘Zeke and Luther’ and ‘Ramona and Beezus,’ takes on a comedic message with heart in ‘Den Brother,’ which debuts in August on the Disney Channel.


Squeeze Talk About Their New Album

Squeeze is a British rock band that came to prominence in the new wave period of the late 1970s, and continued recording successfully in the 1980s and 1990s. The group formed in London in 1974. The two main writing partners in the band, Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, are widely considered to be among the finest melodic pop songwriters of their generation. The band reunited for tours through the United States and United Kingdom in 2007, and this touring version of Squeeze has continued into 2010.
